My staff and I all had a great time. We all commented on how this was more of a
fun, close and active meeting than the typical CDA event. Thanks to all the course
presenters for the lectures. I heard these guys are not paid. We are all very lucky
to be part of DT. Thanks to the DT band for the entertainment but, DAMN! Raise the
meeting cost next year. Special shout out to Mr Shawn Keating. This guy is the definition
for support, involvement, contribution, dedication... to the dental industry. He
is a giver. Give, give, give. On a side note, I can be and have been a picky, royal-ass
pain to Keating Lab. These guys dread my phone calls. I want to say, Shawn, Brandon,
Bob have all gone the extra mile to work with me. It could have been easier for
them to just fire me, but they are sticking it out. They are capable of great work.
How ironic it was that at the closing ceremony I won the Video ipod donated by Keating
Lab. Thanks guys! Cary
I’m just back from the meeting. It was GREAT!! Loved every minute of it. Mike Barr
your talk was excellent and I enjoyed talking to you at Dan and Rod's dinner. I
got so much info at the sessions I'm going to have to digest it all. And the Millionaire
next door session, that was an eye opener and a bit scary. You know what is so nice
about the meeting. You get to meet and talk to the movers and shakers in dentistry,
and they are all so nice and they just talk to me like an old friend. I am just
an average dentist out here in New Mexico and here I am rubbing shoulders with all
these great guys. Heady stuff!
Thanks for everyone that was responsible for our 4th DT Meeting. It was really great
seeing everyone. I'm amazed at how prosperous these Townies are that I see at these
meetings year after year. Tarun, Sameer, their spouses and all support staff are
to be commended. The Prom Nite at the Voo Doo lounge will definitely be one of the
highlights in the History of DT meetings. I enjoyed meeting Howard Chasolen and
his wife as well as seeing the Hammels, Dominique "Nicki" and Michael, Dan, Rod,
Dr. Ed, "Cletus", Seth, Johnny C from Brooklyn, Scott Hamlin, Sandy Pardue and Alethia,
Lorne Lavine, Willie Wyatt, Melkers, Marshall, "our fearless leader"--Howard, and
finally meeting Dr. Dan "Pontic" Purvis in person. Too many others to mention. My
staff had a complete blast and it's just empowering being around so many upbeat
and enthused dentists in this unique setting. Enjoyed being with all of you and
thanks again for a great meeting and your commraderie. Jerome THANKS TOWNIE BUDDIES
NEW AND OLD Had a great time at the meeting how is it possible that so many cool
dentists exist? Great to see Timmy, Miguel and Genine, Don, Bob, Flem, Rich, way
too many more to list. Voodoo lounge prom was a hoot. Loved mingling and all the
wild dancing.Loved meeting all the staff in attendance (how does Farran get such
a hot hygienist?)... man , I'm gushing, must be the sleep deprivation. Anyways...
caught some great lectures too, and my whole staff had a blast. Once again, Thanks
Sam and Tarun, and the whole lot of ya. Regards, Paul
Fellow Townies, My first Townie Convention. My wife and I had a blast. Thom Caspers
and his wife, Adrianne nearly killed me with sleep deprivation. Great job to Tarun
and Sam and families for putting on a great event. It should only grow and get better
as more Townies attend. I'll be back next year. No babies or potential babies to
keep me away. I enjoyed playing golf with Tarun and Seth. I see why Glen had some
West Coasters play with the East Coasters. I won't say they cheat, they are just
easily confused as to how many strokes it took to "hole out". Too much fun. Thanx
to Glen for "herding the kittens". He must be good at Pedo to be able to corral
this bunch. Johnny Canary or Dr. Monkey was a source of inspiration and amusement
to all. No way I can hang with the hours he keeps. Sleep is too important to us
old guys. Thanx to Dr. Dan and Rod for the dinner evening. I met a great Canadian
couple there and we went to NY, NY for a piano bar evening. It was definitely "oversold"
by me, but in my defense, I don't remember them being so conniving and whiny the
last time I was there. See you all next year! I should be caught up on my sleep
by then. Dan Petersen
Just got home from the meeting. I had a blast!!. The entire meeting was top shelf.
Finally got to meet the many people I have interacted with on DT. Wish I had gone
to the previous meetings. The CE was exceptional. Exceeded my highest expectations.
Thanks, Tarun and Sameer for putting it all together. Ed, what an Awesome meeting
that was....It was so nice to meet so many people from around the great USA....
VooDoo party really rocked and so did the band at the car give away.. I wish some
one could print the lyrics to some of those songs. They rocked... Townies ARE THE
BEST....See ya next year...
Bob, this was the best meeting I have ever attended. I was telling Frank that usually
at meetings I don't interact with very many people, except possible townies that
recognize me. This meeting however, is so different than any meeting I have ever
been to. You already know so many people, and mostly you just have to connect faces
with names. Well done Sam, Meena, Tarun, Dom, etal. Can't wait till Bahamas, the
kids are stoked. Good to finally meet so many of you.
