This course addresses oral-systemic problems and explores dental hygiene solutions in treating patients who have experienced life-altering conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. Also addressed will be the ravages of pneumonia and how it intimately relates to the oral-systemic connection. Can pneumonia be prevented with a toothbrush?
